Given the limitations of ongoing funding cuts and standards-based curriculum reform, effective teachers must practice the art of the possible to help their students succeed. Bay Area band Angry Tired Teachers (comprised of public school teachers) belt out the frustrations of educators, our unsung heroes, with a heartfelt revision of Pete Seeger’s “Where Have All the Flowers Gone”. Historical and documentary footage, along with some provocative photoshop images, create an audiovisual experience that captures the spirit of protest. And yet, as it states on their website: “They’re mad as hell, and, well, yes, they will take it some more. That’s what teachers do.”
